Most clients arrive with the same handful of questions before they sign — booking windows, pricing, travel, equipment, what happens if something goes sideways. Here's the straight answer to all of them, organized so you can scan to what you actually need.

We recommend booking at least 6-12 months in advance for weddings and large events to ensure availability. For corporate events and private parties, 2-3 months notice is typically sufficient, though we occasionally accommodate last-minute bookings based on availability.
Absolutely! If you have a specific DJ in mind from our roster, let us know during your initial inquiry. We'll check their availability for your date and do our best to accommodate your preference. We also offer meet-and-greets before booking to ensure the right fit.
We require a 25% deposit to secure your date, with the remaining balance due 14 days before your event. We accept all major credit cards, bank transfers, and checks. Payment plans are available for larger events upon request.
Cancellations made more than 90 days before the event receive a full refund minus a $100 administrative fee. Cancellations 30-90 days out forfeit the deposit. Within 30 days, the full balance is due. We always work with clients facing emergencies to find fair solutions.
Yes! We encourage clients to share must-play and do-not-play lists before the event. During the event, our DJs skillfully incorporate guest requests while maintaining the energy and flow you've planned for. We use an online planning portal where you can manage your preferences.

Yes, Beat Squad offers live musicians including saxophone players, percussionists, and vocalists who can perform alongside our DJs for a unique live-remix experience. This is perfect for cocktail hours, ceremony music, or enhancing the dance floor energy.
Yes! While we're based in Columbus, Ohio, we perform at events nationwide. Travel fees apply for events outside our local service area (typically beyond 50 miles). For destination events, we handle all logistics including equipment transport and accommodations.
